COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) Pandemic Management Plan
We have a COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) Pandemic Management Plan in place, which is subject to change due to continually evolving Ministry of Health guidelines.
All staff are fully vaccinated and they are required to wear disposable masks whilst at work.
Staff work in department bubbles to lessen the risk of infection within different parts of the home.
Red Level visiting at St Barnabas
- You may have 1 visitor per day
- Please stay in your room or the garden with your visitor
- Your visitor needs to keep their mask on at all times
- Your visitor cannot be offered food or drinks while here
Visiting hours
2pm to 4pm
Monday to Friday
No visitors allowed during weekends and public holidays. If visitors are found at St Barnabas outside these hours, they will be asked to leave.
Outings
- These are to be arranged with Kaye
- Hospital appointments are to be discussed with one of the nurses
- You may collect your COVID pass from staff to go to a cafe
- Residents are to meet the person taking them out at the front door
Orange Level visiting at St Barnabas
- You may have 2 visitors at a time in your room
- Please stay in your room or the garden with your visitors
- Your visitors need to keep their masks on at all times
- Your visitors cannot be offered food or drinks while here

10.30am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm
Monday to Friday
2pm to 4pm
Weekends and public holidays
If visitors are found at St Barnabas outside these hours, they will be asked to leave.
